Fourth Grade just finished up their first PBL Mini Unit. Our driving question was, "How can we as Californians explore and explain the diversity of our state?". Students learned key characteristics of the four California Regions.
During our study of the valley, students researched and planned what "agricultural commodities" we would have at a Central Valley feast. On Monday, students enjoyed the various items they listed on our menu.
After learning about the four regions, students made and painted maps of California that represent each region. Please stop by our classroom to see their great work!
Today we begin our first Big Unit on the California Gold Rush. We are excited to embark on this learning adventure together.
Love,
Ms. Krooss and Ms. Gomez
