Ms. Krooss and Ms. Gomez love teaching fourth grade!
Ms. Krooss has taught fourth grade at Roosevelt for four years. She was raised in San Francisco and got her B.A. in political science and a teaching credential at Wellesley College in Massachusetts. In addition to teaching fourth grade, she has worked in preschool, elementary school, and middle school settings and ran an after school program for low-income students in Boston's Chinatown. She is currently a Court Appointed Special Advocate for a teenage foster child.
When not teaching, Ms. Krooss enjoys reading, hiking, and skiing. She is an avid football fan (Go Niners!) and is very close with her family. Her parents, Ms. Susan and Mr. Jack, are frequently volunteers in the classroom.
Ms. Gomez has taught fourth grade at Roosevelt for three years. Prior to teaching fourth grade, she was a long term substitute in first grade at Roosevelt. She was born and raised in Redwood City and got her B.A. in Liberal Studies at San Diego State University. In addition to teaching here at Roosevelt, she was an Autism Behavior Therapist, working with children of various ages, a teacher's aide at a school in Redwood City and a tutor.
When not teaching, Ms. Gomez enjoys being outdoors, cooking and reading. She loves anything Disney and spends a lot of time with her family and new husband.
